64th Senior Amateur Championship

Championship Format

• 54 holes of individual gross stroke play
• Championship Field Size - 144 players
• The field is cut to the low 60 and ties after 36 holes
• Initial groupings will be for two days; the field will be cut and re-paired by score after the second round
• Round three tee times will start at 8:00 AM off of the 1st and 10th tees

Eligibility

• Amateur golfers at least 55 years of age as of the first day of the Championship - See the FSGA’s Competitive Fairness Gender Policy
• Florida Resident
• Amateur golfer with valid Florida GHIN Handicap Index not exceeding 10.0
• Entrant is required to be a member of the FSGA

Entry Fee

• Qualifying Fee: Qualifying Fee includes entry fee and cart fee for the qualifying round
• Championship Fee: Fee paid by those individuals who advance to the Championship through qualifying. Includes tee gifts and gift certificates, range balls and any course and cart fees for competitive rounds. Fee includes complimentary lunch for the first & second rounds.
• Exempt Fee: Exempt Fee includes Championship Fee and Entry Fee for those individuals eligible for exemption; includes tee gift and gift certificates, course and cart fees, range balls, and lunch for the first & second rounds.
  • Exempt Players must enter on time to use Championship Exemption
• Late entries are subject to a $20 late entry fee should the entrant gain acceptance into the qualifying field

Schedule of Events

• Monday, April 14th
  • Optional practice rounds - Golf Genius Booking Link will be provided after qualifying completes
• Tuesday, April 15th
  • Tournament registration 7:00 AM - 2:00pm
  • 7:45 AM - 9:25 AM - Round one morning tee times off #1 and #10
  • Complimentary players' lunch in the main clubhouse
  • 12:30 AM - 2:20 AM - Round one afternoon tee times off of #1 and #10 
• Wednesday, April 16th
  • 7:45 AM - 9:25 AM - Round two morning tee times off of #1 and #10 
  • Complimentary players' lunch in the main clubhouse
  • 12:30 PM - 2:20 PM - Round two afternoon tee times off #1 and #10
• Thursday, April 17th
  • 8:00 AM - Final Round tee times. (60 & ties will determine the last times)
  • Awards ceremony immediately following the completion of play

Local Qualifying

• 18 holes of stroke play at 6 qualifying sites
• Cart fees are included in your qualifying fee
• The number of qualifying spots will be posted at the host site and will be proportionate to other qualifying sites based on the size of the field
• Ties for the last qualifying spot will also qualify (there are no playoffs)
• Alternates will be determined by ordering the players that just missed qualifying, and ties for alternate spots will be broken by the USGA suggested method (last 9, last 6, last 3, etc.)

Championship Practice Rounds

• Practice rounds are available one week prior to the championship on a space available basis and after 12:00 PM on the weekend prior. The cost of the practice round is $65 plus tax.
