"FSGA recognizing and appreciating our active members and veterans of the US Armed Forces"
About
- Starting in 2024, the FSGA will be introducing a new initiative to show our appreciation for those actively serving or have previously served in our United States Armed Forces.
- There will be 6 designated events in 2024, where members of the Armed Forces (past & present) can sign up to play in a One-Day event for a discounted entry fee of $10.
- These events will be conducted as a standard One-Day event with divisions, prizes, and Net player of the year points awarded (click here for more information).

- Monday, October 14th - Tampa Palms G&CC (Tampa)
Eligibility for Reduced Entry
- Must be actively serving or previously served in the United States Armed Forces.
- United States Army
- United States Marine Corps
- United States Navy
- United States Air Force
- United States Space Force
- United States Coast Gaurd
- Amateur golfers (18 years of age or older) with a Florida GHIN handicap index of 24.0 or less for men and 34.0 for women. All players MUST have a FL GHIN handicap index
- Players who do not have a Florida GHIN handicap index may purchase a handicap online. Click here for more information on purchasing an on-line GHIN handicap.
Entries, Tee Times and Results
- Spots will be held for members of the Armed Forces up until 30 days prior to the event.
- Once we get within 30 days of an event, the remaining spots will be filled with all other players based on date of entry.
- Entries from any member of the Armed Forces after the deadline, will be handled based on their date of entry.
- All entries must be submitted through the FSGA website with appropriate payment by 11:30 pm of the closing date
- Late entries will be accepted based on availability. Any late entrant that gains acceptance into the field will be subject to a $10 late entry fee
- Groupings and hole assignment are posted approximately three days before the event
- Results will be posted on the FSGA website
- The FSGA will post each players' score to their GHIN account for individual events only.
Men's Format
- 18 holes of net or gross stroke play within flights
- Each player will use their playing handicap for the day (see below for handicap allowances and calculation)
- Handicap Indexes will be taken from the close of entry date
- Payout will be NET, then Gross. Payouts will vary based on division size.
- Maximum score of 10 per hole is in effect
- Local Rule: E-5 Alternative to Stroke & Distance for Lost Ball or Ball Out of Bounds is in effect
Women's Format

Regions
Players may sign up to play in all of our 5 regions of the state.
Entry Fee
- For each of the events listed above, members of the armed forces (past & present) can register to play for $10.
Age Divisions & Approximate Yardages
**All players must compete in the age division commensurate with their age as of the event day. No players are allowed to play out of their age division **
- Men's Under 50 Age Division - 6,300 - 6,500 yards (Gross & Net)
- Men's 50-59 Age Division - 6,000 yards - 6,200 yards (Gross & Net)
- Men's 60-69 Age Division - 5,600 - 5,800 yards (Gross & Net)
- Men's 70 & Over Age Division - 5,500 - 5,700 yards (Net & Gross)
- Women's Division - 4,900 yards - 5,100 yards (Gross & Net)
Playing With Friends

Pairing requests are encouraged; play with your friends! Email pairing requests to onedays@fsga.org (specify the date, location and full names of the players you would like to paired with). Pairing requests must be emailed five or more days before the event to guarantee pairing.
Alternate Status & Full Events
When we reach are maximum allotted field size, the FSGA office will place *FULL* in the title of the upcoming event. All new entries after that point will be placed on an alternates list, where their entry will not be charged until a spot actually becomes availabile. Your status on the alternates list is strictly based on date of entry, and alternates will be contacted via email and/or phone call when we receive a withdrawal from the event.
