Zhang & West Conquer Royal Palm

NAPLES, Fla. –  It was Man Zhang and Rita West who outlasted the field to take home the trophies at the Women's Net Championship Hosted by Royal Palm Golf Club.

Middle Division

On the opening day of the Women’s Net Championship, Dee Romito claimed the low round, finishing with a net 67 (-5). She dominated the front nine with five net birdies and added four more on the back. Close behind was Xiaolin Jones, who shot a 4-under 68, featuring one net eagle, seven net birdies, and five net bogeys. Man Zhang rounded out the top three; despite starting with a double bogey, she rallied to finish her day at even par.

In a display of true champion spirit, Zhang secured two eagles during the final round—one on the very first hole and another on the eleventh. Her net 67 (-5) was enough to clinch the victory. Jones took second place with a final round net 73 (+1), while Romito, the solo leader after round one, finished third with rounds of 67-74 (-3).

Forward Division

Piya Thompson and Rita West topped the Forward Division at the Women’s Net Championship after the first round, both shooting a net 69 (-3). They held a three-stroke lead over the rest of the field as they headed into the final round.

West delivered a steady performance in the final round, posting an even par net 72 to clinch the title. She recorded six net birdies on her way to victory. Yesterday’s co-leader, Thompson, unfortunately dropped out of contention but still finished in the top three. Carol Baker climbed two spots on the final day, securing solo second place with consistent rounds of net 72-71, finishing the event at net one-under par.
