Women's Senior Four-Ball Championship

Deercreek Country Club, Jacksonville, FL

March 17-18, 2025

Two Teams Dominate Deercreek

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Women’s Senior Four-Ball Championship ended with two deserving teams taking home wire-to-wire victories at Deercreek Country Club. In the Senior Division, Mary Jane Hiestand and Adrienne MacLean would fire rounds of 72-71--143 to capture the win by 6-strokes over the field. Meanwhile, Donna Fiedorowicz and Joy Passalacqua triumphed in the Super Senior Division with rounds of 74-71--145 to put up a dominating feat over the rest of the field.

Senior Division

After the completion of Round One, it was the team of Mary Jane Hiestand and Adrienne MacLean who would finish in the top spot at the end of the first round. The duo put together the only under-par round in their division, with a 1-under 72. They carded three birdies on the back nine, including a birdie on the 18th hole that secured their position under par, and a two-stroke lead heading into the final day.

The second day brought improved conditions, with the wind no longer posing a challenge. Therese Quinn and Lin Culver wasted no time on moving day, making a birdie on the second hole to leap into second place, joining defending champions Tama Caldabaugh and Kim Keyer-Scott.

As the players made the turn, Hiestand/MacLean remained in the lead, with Quinn/Culver hot on their heels in second. However, after securing birdies on the 10th and 11th holes, Hiestand/ MacLean extended their lead to four shots over Quinn/Culver, who would bogey their 10th and 13th holes.

This marks Hiestand/ MacLean’s first victory together at the Women’s Senior Four-Ball Championship, yet the two both have impressive resumes. Hiestand is a 2023 FSGA Hall of Fame Inductee, while MacLean has participated in the 2021 Women's Florida Cup Team, along with on the National stage at the US Senior Women's Amateur Championship in 2022.

Quinn and Culver finished in second place, while Caldabaugh and Keyer-Scott would round out the top three.

Super-Senior Division

Fiedorowicz and Passalacqua claimed first place after Round One, positioning themselves well for the final round with a commanding 4-stroke lead. The duo maintained their strong performance on the final day, posting an under-par round two score of 71 (-2), securing the victory with a 14-stroke lead over the competition.

Notably, in the Senior Field Flight, the pair of Liz Breza and Xiaolin Jones would take full advantage of the nicer conditions and finish 4-strokes ahead of the rest of the field and onto victory. Meanwhile, Rita Westand Janet Van Slyke would run the show in the Super-Senior Field Flight, firing rounds of 78-79--156 to finish 6-over and claim the trophy.

  • Field Divisions – All ties in each flight of the Field Divisions will be broken by the FSGA tie breaking method (Modified USGA). The final day 18 hole score will be used. If there is still a tie, the last 9 holes of the last day (10-18). If there is still a tie, the last 6 holes are used (13-18), then if needed the last 3 holes (16-18), then the final hole (18). In the case that players are still tied after the 18th hole, the winner will be determined by lot (coin flip).

Field Divisions will pay gross first, then net.
