Mid-Amateur Stroke Play Championship

Championship Format

• 54-holes of individual gross stroke play (no handicaps)
• Maximum Field Size - 156 players
• The field will be cut to the low 60 and ties after 36 holes

Eligibility

• Male amateur golfers at least 25 years of age as of the first day of the Championship - See the FSGA’s Competitive Fairness Gender Policy
• Entrant is required to be an Adult Member of the FSGA and have an active GHIN Handicap Index of 7.0 or lower
• Florida residency is required

Entry Fee

• $235
• Late entries will be accepted, first come, first served and subject to a $10 late entry fee should the entrant gain acceptance into the field.

Entry Priorty

• 50% of Field - First Come, First Served
• 50 % of Field - Entry Priority - these spots will be held until the entry close date for players fitting in the below categories (Exemptions)
  • Past Champions
    • Last 10 Mid-Amateur Stoke Plays
    • Last 5 Mid-Amateur Championships
    • Last 5 Forty & Over Championships
  • Top 20 & ties from the following
    • Previous Year's Mid-Amateur Stroke Play
    • Previous Year's Mid-Amateur Player of the Year Points List
    • Current Year's Mid-Amateur Player of the Year Points List at Close of Entries
  • Players advancing to the Round of 16 at the Current Year's Mid-Amateur
  • Players Making the cut at the Current Year's Florida Open or Florida Amateur
  • Players Qualifying for an Individual USGA National Championship
  • Top 10 & ties from current year's Forty & Over Championship
  • Committee Selections
• Any remaining spots not filled by entry priority will be filled based off of handicap index at the entry close date.

Schedule of Events

Friday, October 10th

• • 7:45 AM - 9:25 AM - Round one morning tee times off of tee #1 and #10
  • 12:30 PM - 2:20 PM Round one afternoon tee times off of tee #1 and #10

Saturday, October 11th

• • 7:45 AM - 9:25 AM - Round two morning tee times off of tee #1 and #10
  • 12:30 PM - 2:20 PM  - Round two afternoon tee times off of tee #1 and #10
  • Field will be cut to low 60 players and ties after play finishes

Sunday, October 12th

• • 8:00 AM - 9:40 AM - Round three morning tee times off of tee #1 and #10

Championship Practice Rounds

• Available one week prior for $50 plus tax on a space available basis. Rate is restricted to after 12:00 PM on the weekend prior. Please call (941) 900-2424 to book
• There will be a Golf Genius Block arranged for Practice Rounds the Thursday prior, and will be released approximtely 2 weeks prior to book online for Thursday only.
