NAPLES, Fla. – Emmanuel Lim and Gabriella Albert went wire-to-wire to take home a Florida Junior Tour victories on Sunday at Vineyards Country Club. This is the first FJT win for Lim, while Albert earns her second overall victory and her first since 2020.
Boys (16-18)
Lim survived a playoff to capture the win at Vineyards, finishing the weekend at 3-under 141. He got the tournament started on Saturday with a bogey-free first-round 69 to take a two-shot lead over the field.
A Lake Worth native, Lim began the final round with birdies on two of the first three holes. He closed out the first nine with a birdie and a bogey to make the turn at 2 under for the day. Lim ran into some trouble on the second nine, carding bogeys on Nos. 15-17 to fall backv in a tie at the top with Christain Figueredo at 3-under 141.
Lim eagled the third playoff hole to secure the victory, while Figueredo finished runner-up after rounds of 69-72. Jake Manelas and Kaden Wrisner finished tied for third at 2-under 142.
Girls (16-18)
Albert used round of 69-74 to earn the wire-to-wire victory on Sunday at 1-under 143. She carded a 3-under 69 on Saturday to take the first-round lead, with six birdies on the day.
The Delray Beach native began the final round with a 1-under first nine, posting two birdies and a bogey. Albert held on to capture the four-shot victory, ending the weekend with a 2-over 74 on Sunday. This is Albert’s second-straight victory after winning the Women’s Four-Ball Championship last weekend with Chloe Kovelesky.
Alyssa Mixon finished runner-up at 3-over 147, while Rachel Gomez took third at 5-over 149.
