SARASOTA, Fla. – James Bradley and Jordan Fischer took home Florida Junior Tour wins on Sunday at Sara Bay Country Club. This is the second FJT victory for Bradley, while Fischer secured her third FJT win.
Boys (16-18)
Bradley captured the win in the Boys (16-18) division, finishing the weekend at 4-under 140. He began the weekend with a 1-over 73 to sit four shot of the leader heading into Sunday’s final round.
The Valrico native got off to a strong start in the final round, birdieing four of his first seven holes and making the turn at 3 under for the day. Bradley kept it rolling on the back nine with three birdies and a bogey.
He secured the two-shot with a final-round 67, the low round of the weekend. Adam Vermut, who held the first-round lead, took home a runner-up finish at 2-under 142. Four players finished the tournament in a tie for third at 3-under 143: JP English, Armand Loscalzo, Jiaming Liu and Camden Smith.
Girls (16-18)
Fischer went wire-to-wire to earn the victory in the Girls (16-18) division at 4-over 148. She took a one-shot lead over the field after the first round with a 2-over 74.
The North Fort Myers native got the final round started with a bogey-free first nine and a birdie on the 15th. Fischer finished the day with a 3-over second nine to post a final-round 74 and secure the win.
Elan Zhang and Victoria Tan both took a share of second place at 5-over 149. Both players carded a final-round 72, the only even-par or better rounds in the Girls’ division.
