SARASOTA, Fla. - Miles Russell and Chloe Chang, both multi-time FJT winners, withstood a good test of golf this weekend at Heritage Oaks Golf & Country Club. Russell's victory was a come-from-behind win, while Chang went wire-to-wire.
Boys (13-15)
Entering the day two shots back of the lead, Russell, of Jacksonville Beach, birdied holes 14, 16, 17, and 18 down the stretch to force a playoff with Clipper Salmon. Salmon, of Tampa, finished the tournament tied with Russell atop the leaderboard at -3.
The two traded pars on the first playoff hole. It did not reach a third. Russell had roughly 12 feet for birdie on the second playoff hole, and drained the putt to win. This victory was Russell's third of the year.
