Mid-Amateur Four-Ball Championship (North)

Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club, Santa Rosa Beach, FL

September 7-8, 2024

SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla – The team of Dalton Humphrey & Benjamin Perdue took home the Mid-Amateur Four-Ball (North) Championship at Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club.  Rounds of 63-67—130 were enough to get the duo into a playoff where they would eventually win on the second playoff hole.

The 2024 Mid-Amateur Four-Ball (North) was contested at Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club, located in the Florida Panhandle.  The course undergoing a full renovation in 2021, provided a beautiful setting and great test of golf for the competitors this weekend.

Dalton Humphrey and Benjamin Perdue started the week of hot, combining for 10 birdies in Round 1 and just one bogey for an opening 63 (-9).  They would hold a two shot lead over the 2018 Champions Devin Hernandez & Spencer Baldwin, and Rhett Pooley & Tiger Godwin.

Humphrey & Perdue found themselves paired with Hernandez and Baldwin in the final round, a pairing that ended up being a back and forth battle throughout the day.  After and opening 31, Hernandez and Baldwin took a one shot lead heading into the back 9.  Five back 9 birdies from Humphrey & Perdue was enough to take the two teams into a sudden death playoff.  After pars on the first playoff hole, Humphrey and Perdue made par on the second playoff hole, the par four 18th and it would be enough after a bogey from Hernandez & Baldwin.
