PALM COAST, Fla. – Parker Severs and Ryan Donaldson were victorious on Sunday at Palm Harbor Golf Club picking up the Florida Junior Tour win. This marks back to back wins for Severs, while Donaldson picked up her first FJT victory.
Boys 13-15
Severs captured the win carding rounds of 70-69, shooting 139 for the tournament. After a 2-under 70 in the first round the Lakewood Ranch native finished the day in a tie for first place with Nicolas Pisarski. Severs followed up his excellent play from round one with a fantastic 3-under 69 to put him three shots clear of the field.
Bryson Hughes finished in second place with a 2-under 142. The St. John’s native posted steady 1-under par 71’s both days to put him two shots clear of third-place.
In third-place was Mike Liu who shot consistent rounds of 72-72 to finish the tournament at even par.
Girls 13-15
Ryan Donaldson picked up her first FJT victory in her career with a 1-over 145. She carded a 1-over 73 in the first round to finish the day one shot behind Sofia Cherif Essakali in first place.
The McAlpin native shot an even par 72 in round two, which tied for the low round of the day, to secure a commanding five-shot victory.
Cherif Essakali and Sophia Dyer finished in a tie for second place at 6-over 150. Cherif Essakali and Dyer continued their excellent play this season as Cherif Esakali took home her sixth top two finish this year, while Dyer picked up her third top six finish.
