The Winter Series at Victoria Hills, March 5-6 marked the end of the 2017 Winter Series as the warmer temperatures of spring approach. The final event stayed in true winter fashion with winds gusting up to 30 miles per hour, leaving players ready for the warmth of spring.
In the Mid-Amateur Division, it was Paul Tesori, of Ponte Vedra, who came out victorious in the Winter Series Final. Tesori carded an even-par round of 72 in gusting winds to take the overnight lead in his first Winter Series of the year, but his position wasn’t secure. The consistent Robbie Sisca came back from his round one 77 to post an even-par round of 72 during round two to finish at five over-par 149, just two back from Tesori at 147. Paul can brag about his win this coming week at the Valspar Championship when he caddies for Web Simpson! Sisca placed in the top five in every Winter Series event this season.

He fell one shot short to finish second to Grady with a 146 total.
