State Amateur Championship. We hope that

information contained here, some of which require action by you, by a certain
time (e.g. pre-registration, hotel reservations, practice rounds, etc.). If you

Please Note
Pre-Registration Policy
Registration
Deadline
By
Please note: that there will be no on-site
registration.
Failure to meet this deadline
will constitute a withdrawal. A place will then be offered to an
alternate.
Accommodations
Arrangements have been made
on a space available basis at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort at the rate of $109
plus tax for a golf view room and $99 plus tax for a resort view room per
night. Competitors can call (800) 241-3333 by June 9 and must identify themselves as a Florida
State Golf Association competitor for reservations.
Additional
arrangements have been made at the Hawthorne Suites of Naples and the
Doubletree Guest Suites in
The
Hawthorne Suites of Naples is offering Studio Suites for $69 per night, One
Bedroom Suites for $80 per night and Two Bedroom Suites for $97 per night.

The
Double Tree Guest Suites is offering King Suites for $59 per night and double
bedded One Bedroom Suites for $69 per night. Please call (800) 222-8733 and ask

Practice
The Club at TwinEagles
Players may play a practice
round up to 7 days in advance (Closed Monday) of the Championship except
Saturday AM at the rate of $28 which includes cart, practice balls and a
service fee on a space available basis. Players may call (239) 352-2121 up to
one week in advance. Players arriving for the Championship on Wednesday but not
playing a practice round may utilize the range for $5.
Players may play a practice
round up to 7 days in advance of the Championship except Saturday AM at the
rate of $28 which includes cart, practice balls and a service fee on a space
available basis. Players may call (239) 353-5100 up to one week in advance.
Carts
All players must ride in
the Championship rounds. Carts are
included in the Championship fee for all competitive rounds.
NOTE: NO
ONE OTHER THAN THE PLAYERS MAY RIDE IN A CART.
THIS
INCLUDES CADDIES AND SPECTATORS.
Charges
The golf shops will
accept Visa or MasterCard for payment. Cash may be used for food and beverage
items only at The Club at TwinEagles.
One-Ball Rule
The one-ball rule is
in effect during the 72 holes of the Championship rounds.
Spike Policy
It is a condition of the
Florida State Golf Association that shoes with traditionally-designed spikes
(regardless of composition, i.e. ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless
of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (when such metal
comes in contact with the surface of the putting green) are prohibited. Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.
Pace of Play
In order to accommodate 168
players, it is essential that the game be played at a brisk pace which may be
defined as a few minutes more than four hours in groups of three during the
Championship rounds. The FSGA Pace of
Play Policy will be strictly enforced and will be monitored. If and when it should become necessary to
speak to individual players about slow play, we hope they will react with the
understanding that we do it in the best interest of the Championship and the
other players.
The pace of play for the
stroke play rounds will be posted on the Notice to Competitors.
