Lake Wales offers a golf course that has its roots in Old Florida built in 1923 and designed by Donald Ross.
ENTRY FEE: $310 ($330 - members who do not have an active FSGA/GHIN
Handicap).

CHAMPIONSHIP: 36 holes four-ball stroke play. Teams consist of one player at least 55 years
of age, and the other player must be 25-54 years of age as of April 4, 2009.
The lowest team score for 36 holes will be the Champion. If necessary, there
will be a hole by hole play-off to determine the champion. It is the player’s
responsibility to be present for any play.
FLIGHTS: After 18 holes. The number of flights will be based on the number of teams and/or the range of scores.
CARTS: Carts are included for all competitive rounds. Players are responsible for practice round fees.
TEE TIMES: Round one tee times will begin at 12:00 PM off the 1st and 10th tees. Round two will be an 8:00 AM shotgun.
PRACTICE ROUND: Practice rounds are available one week prior to the event. Practice rounds are restricted to after 12:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The cost of the practice round is $30.00 plus tax. Please call (863) 676-6519 to reserve a time for your practice round. The place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range. Hitting multiple balls on the golf course is unacceptable.
COURSE SET-UP: The golf course will be set-up approximately 6700-6900 yards for the Mid-Amateurs and 6300-6500 yards for the Senior Amateurs.

SPECTATORS AND CADDIES: Spectators and caddies are always welcome at FSGA Championships. Only players are allowed to ride in carts. If a player employs a caddie, the caddie MUST walk and the player’s clubs must remain on the golf cart.
CONDITIONS; SCHEDULES – The FSGA Championships Committee/on-site Rules Committee reserves the right to alter any of the conditions, provisions and/or schedules. The decision of the Championships Committee/on-site Rules Committee in any matter will be final.

SCORECARDS: Only one of the partners per team need sign the score card and each score to count must be individually identifiable. See Rule 31–3.
DEFENDING CHAMPIONS: Dennis Huffman, from Bonita Springs and Phil Olive, of Estero, won the title on the third playoff hole after shooting a 67-69--136 at The Golf Club at Fiddlers Creek.
