Field Selection Criteria This tournament was added because of the high amount of entries received for the first three tournaments this season and many players did not get to play in the tournaments they wanted to. The field determination for this event will differ from the standard policy; players who were alternates for one or two of the previous tournaments will be given priority. All FJT members ages 16-18, or those allowed to "play up" are allowed to submit an entry for this event (and meet all normal FJT policies) .
The FSGA Tournament Department will
use their best judgment in selecting this tournament field. |
Falcon’s Fire Golf Club is recognized both regionally and nationally as one of the finest public golf courses in Orlando. This Rees Jones designed championship golf course and the spacious Clubhouse offer guests a spectacular venue for any occasion. From an immaculate golf course featuring the highest level of service and amenities, to the exquisite dining at the Falcon’s Nest Restaurant, to the latest technology, equipment, and apparel at the award-winning Golf Shop, Falcon’s Fire Golf Club is a premier Florida golf destination, conveniently located just steps from the Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando International Airport, and the Orange County Convention Center.
In October 2009, after a 3 ½ month closure and a $1million renovation project, Falcon’s Fire reopened. The renovations include new greens, which were resurfaced with TifEagle variety of turf – an ultradwarf Bermuda grass – providing golfers with faster, smoother putting conditions. Additional refinements to the course included the reshaping of bunkers and installing an improved greens irrigation and drainage system. In late 2010, a major renovation to the Clubhouse will hopefully take place, adding another $350,000 to the enhancement totals
