Women's Winter Series *Four-Ball* - CC of Ocala

Country Club of Ocala, Ocala, FL

December 18-19, 2023

OCALA, Fla. - Six champions battled the chilly conditions at the Country Club of Ocala to bring home the Women's Winter Series Four-Ball victory. The team of Kassandra Walton and Kelly Cato captured the Mid-Amateur division, while the team of Diane Chancellor and Kathy Glennon took the Senior division, and Susan Zupnik and Mary Bachtel won the Super-Senior division.

Mid-Amateur

The team of Walton and Cato teed it up as the only team competing in the Mid-Amateur division. The pair also competed in the Women's Shoot-Out earlier this year finishing in seventh place, so they are no stranger to team competitions. Walton and Cato put together rounds of 104-115--219 to capture the Mid-Amateur division victory.

Senior

In the Senior division, it was anybody's game after round one. The team of Betsy Knights and Kathleen Bordeau started off strong with a first round 74 to give them a three shot lead going into the final round. The 2023 Senior Four-Ball champions, Kathy Glennon and Diane Chancellor, were one of the teams following close behind. Glennon and Chancellor had a hot start to their final round with three birdies in their first nine holes, gaining their lead over Knights and Bordeau. They stayed consistent during their final nine of the competition, and posted an impressive 2-under 71 to give them a two shot victory over the field.

Knights and Bordeau posted a final round 76 to finish in solo second place, while the team of Terry Delcamp and Sandy Snyder posted rounds of 77-76--153 to finish in third place.

Super-Senior

After battling through round one, two teams were tied at the top going into the final round. The teams of Susan Zupnik and May Bachtel, and Cathy Brown and Marsha Straw, both posted rounds of 88 and had their eyes on the victory. It was Zupnik and Bachtel who posted two birdies in their final round to give them a leg up on the field and shoot a final round 79 to capture the win.

Brown and Straw finished in solo second place, while the team of Donna Osso and Kathleen Tittle took third place.
