Teams of two, each 40 years of age and above, will compete in either the North or South Championship of 36 holes of four-ball stroke play. Sugar Mill Country Club is a member-owned private club. Ideally situated in New Smyrna Beach, one of Florida's finest clubs is located just one hour from Orlando and 15 minutes from the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic coast.
ELIGIBILITY
Must be age 40 or older as of September 17, 2005, and both entrants must be members of the FSGA.
ENTRY FEE
$310 per team. ($300 for online entry.) Includes cart fees for tournament rounds and prizes.
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
36 holes four-ball stroke play.
FLIGHTS
After 18 holes.
CARTS
Players are responsible for practice round cart fees.
DEFENDING CHAMPIONS
Kelly Gosse, of Inverness, and Ken Godwin, from Ocala, posted 67-70--137 to claim the north title in a three-way playoff at Amelia Island's Long Point course.
