FJT at Palm Harbor GC (11-12 & 9-10)

Palm Harbor Golf Club - Palm Coast

November 16-17, 2019

PALM COAST, Fla. – Precise iron shots from the narrow fairways of Palm Harbor Golf Club earned Phillip Dunham, Ryleigh Knaub, and Jaden Peterson victories!

Boys 11-12
Phillip Dunham, of Ponte Vedra Beach, captured back-to-back victories in the 11-12 division, after winning the FJT at Fairwinds GC in October. A one under-par first round of 70 from Dunham and Emile Lebrun, of Port Saint Lucie, led to a tie at the top. Dunham and Lebrun would start round two one stroke ahead of Mateo Desmond and Matvey Golovanov who tied for second.

Despite starting the second round with a bogey, Dunham began to pull away from the field early in his round. Dunham birdied holes three through five, eight, and nine. He then continued with steady play on his final nine holes to post the tournament low round of 69. Dunham secured a four stroke lead, at five under-par 139, to win the final FJT (9-12 division) of 2019! Lebrun finished tied for second with a final round of 73. Jessy Huebner, of Port Saint Lucie, played consistent golf to tie Lebrun in second. Huebner finished in red numbers with rounds of 72-71—143.

Five FJT Standards

Competing at beautiful clubs around the state is a privilege and it is important for all of our players and parents to place value on the following five duties:

  • Say please and thank you to the club staff and our volunteers
  • Rake bunkers
  • Fix ball marks
  • Step on/repair your divots
  • Throw away your garbage! There should never be trash on the ground anywhere on the course (place trash in waste receptacles, golf carts or even your bag if no other place is available).

Showing Appreciation and Proper Manners - At all courses where juniors play, they should show appreciation to the members and staff. To all of our junior players, let's show the clubs that you are not only the most talented golfers in the country, but also the most respectful. A "thank you" to the club and taking care of the course are the best ways to make a positive impression on the club, fellow players, coaches and spectators.

Practice Rounds

Practice rounds are available one week prior to the tournament on a space-available basis. Tee times are only available after 12:00 noon on weekends. The price for a practice round is $30.00.

Please call 386-986-4653 to arrange your practice round.

Always remember, the proper place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range. Hitting multiple shots on the course, not filling divots, and not repairing ball marks are unacceptable and may cause removal from the tournament without a refund.

Players are not allowed to drive golf carts (must be 18 years old to drive a cart).
