The FSGA conducts sixteen local qualifying events and one of thirteen sectional qualifying events for the Championship.
Eligibility
The championship is open to any amateur golfer who is 25 years old by Sept. 8 with a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 3.4. The USGA received 3,743 entries for the 2011 championship.
