The Mid-Amateur Four-Ball is a perfect opportunity for a golfing road trip with a buddy. Two days of four-ball flighted after day one, make for an enjoyable and competitive golfing environment. For a look at the 2013 Championship Results click here.
Championship Format
- 36 holes of four-ball stroke play
- 48 teams; 96 players
- The lowest team score for 36 holes will be the Champion
Eligibility
- Male amateurs must be age 25 or older as of May 31, 2014
- Both entrants must be members of the FSGA
Entry Fee
- $320 per team GHIN or Foundation Members
- $340 per team Non-GHIN
Late entries will be accepted subject to a $10 late entry fee should the entrant gain acceptance into the field.
Course Set-Up
The golf course will be set-up at approximately 6,900 yards.
Schedule of Events
Saturday, May 31st
- 8:00 AM - 9:50 AM - Round One tee times off of #1 and #10
Sunday, June 1st
- 8:00 AM - 9:50 AM - Round Two tee times off of #1 and #10
- Awards ceremony immediately following the completion of play
Flighting
After 18 holes, the number of flights will be based on the number of teams and the range of scores.
Practice Rounds
Practice rounds are available one week prior to the championship. Practice rounds may be played after 12:00 PM on the weekend. The price for a practice round is $30.00 + tax. Please call (239) 261-1267 to arrange your practice round. The proper place to practice your golf swing is on the driving range, hitting multiple shots on the course is unacceptable.
Carts
Carts are included for all competitive rounds. Players are responsible for practice round fees.
Defending Champions
Charles Alaimo and Michael Vickers posted rounds of 64-66--130 (-14) to capture the South title. The Championship was held in Port Charlotte at Riverwood Golf Club.
