Old Corkscrew welcomed back junior golfers for the fall portion of the Florida Junior Tour by proving, once again, to be a tricky test. Paired with the Florida's August weather, the weekend challenged both the players patience and skills. After a two and a half hour weather delay, Round 1 was called due to darkness and finished on Sunday morning. Kim Egozi, a local of Bonita Springs, led the field after the conclusion of Round 1 with a four over-par, 76. Following close behind was Juliana Camargo, of Winter Garden, with a 77.
During Sunday's Final Round, the weather once again intervened. With a total of four hours worth of weather delays, play finally concluded after a play-off in both divisions. Egozi and Camargo finished the weekend tied with two day totals of 155. However it was Juliana who came out on top winning the play-off and taking home the hardware to kick-off the fall and win her third Florida Junior Tour event.

There were several gentleman who lit up the leaderboard during Round 1. Remi Chartier, a resident of Naples, fired a two under-par, 70 to take a one stroke lead of Noah Kumer of Sarasota. Bryce Walker sat in solo third after posting a two over-par, 74.
Round 2 heated up with Nick Gabrelcik and Dominic Carrera coming from behind after carding Round 1 totals of 75. Gabrelcik, of Trinity, and Carrera, of Lighthouse Point, posted rounds of three under-par, 69, to force a three man play-off with Noah Kumar who carded one over-par, 73. The trio were tied at even par, 144. On the second play-off hole, Gabrelcik and Kumar made birdie eliminating Carrera. Play ended on the fourth hole with Nick Gabrelcik coming out on top to win his first Florida Junior Tour title and his second trophy of 2018. Nick recently won the Amateur Match Play Championship.
