CELEBRATION, Fla. – Four teams raised trophies at the Men’s Net Four-Ball Championship on Sunday at Celebration Golf Club. Mike See and Michael Ulsh were victorious in the Under 50 Division, while Edwin Torres and Carlos Lamarche took home the win in the 50-59 Division.
Gary Morris and Michael DiFrancesco earned the win in the 60-69 Division and James Quick and Marson Germanetti picked up the win in the 70 & Over Division.
Under 50 Division
See and Ulsh went wire-to-wire to capture their second-straight Net Four-Ball Championship. The duo took the first round lead with an 8-under 64, the low round of the championship, in the first round. They continued their strong play, securing the win with a final-round 65. They finished the day with seven net birdies and a net eagle on the sixth.
Frank Murati and John Walters IV took second place, finishing the championship at 11-under 133, while Andy Weber and Patrick Brisley finished third at 8-under 136.
50-59 Division
Torres and Lamarche picked up their second-straight Men’s Net Four-Ball title on Sunday. The pair took a first-round lead with a 5-under 67. Beginning the day with a one-shot lead, Torres and Lamarche fired a 9-under 63 to earn the victory, finishing the day with a bordoe, four net birdies and a net eagle.
Rick Weinacht and Steve Joustra finished five shots back in second place at 9-under 135, while Michael Leslie and Robert Shourds took third place at 8-under 136.
60-69 Division
Morris and DiFrancesco to capture the win in the 60-69 Division, ending the championship at 13-under 131. The duo fired a 6-under 131 on Saturday to take a two shot lead over the field after the first round. They secured the victory with a final-round 65, adding an eagle on the 15th.
Tommy Briggs and Gus Quiros finished runner-up at 9-under 135, and Robert Rosenberger and Rodger Daugherty finished third at 8-under 136.
70 & Over Division
Quick and Germanetti carded an 8-under 136 for the championship to win the 70 & Over Division. The duo took the lead after 18 holes, posting a 5-under 67 in the first round. They used a final-round 69 to take home the five-shot victory. Quick and Germanetti finished the final round with six net birdies and a net eagle.
Jim Bounds and Leonard Carothers finished runner-up at 3-under 141, while Raymond Ludwin and Larry Casale took third at 2-under 142.
