Bolger and Woodard Capture International Four-Ball
For the 63rd year, Orangebrook Golf and Country Club hosted the top women amateur golfers in the country. The format of play is two person teams playing 36 holes of stroke play to qualify for the final eight spots in match play. The quarterfinal matches provided real excitement as three of the matches went all the way to the last hole. One of the matches had thirteen birdies among the four players. It was amazing spectator golf.
Our champions in 2009 are Meghan Bolger and Dawn Woodard defeating Diane Lang (two-time US Senior Women's Amateur Champion) and her partner Maggie Weder. Meghan and Dawn are also Mid-Amateur Champions and Medalists. Together they overpowered their very talented opponents.
