The 2nd biannual Women's Florida Cup matches, hosted by Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club, were conducted on November 9-10, 2015.
The South Team retained the trophy from 2013 with a final score of 22 1/2 - 9 1/2. The South Team started out Monday morning's Four-Ball matches 6-2, winning five matches and halving two. The North Team duo of Elizabeth Breza and Gilda Perez were the only victorious pair to win their Four-Ball match.
In the Afternoon Foursome matches, which saw nothing but constant rain, the South Team continued their streak, winning five matches and halving one. The teams of Tinker Sanger & Sandie St. Onge, along with Laura Carson & JoAnn Ferrieri, posted impressive 6&5 wins over their opponents. Representing the North Team, partners Gilda Perez & Chris Martin and Lin Culver & Karen Greenway posted wins while Susie Fonde & Janice Wilson halved their match. At the close of the day Monday the South held a commanding 11 1/2 - 4 1/2 lead.
Tuesday morning made way for the singles matches, where the South again brought their top game, capturing 11 points to North's 5. South Team standouts included Natalie McNicholas, who won her match 7&5, along with Taffy Brower who won 6&4. Continuing her hot streak for the North Team, Gilda Perez went 3-0 in her matches and defeated Tinker Sanger 5&4 in her final match. Elizabeth Breza, Debbie MookSang, and Charlotte Daughan each posted points for the North.

This year was the 2nd Women’s Florida Cup matches. The biannual matches pit the top 16 women from both North Florida and South Florida, in a Ryder-Cup style format. The winning team is determined by points earned over two days of Four-Ball, Foursomes and Individual Matches.
