Tom Tarrance

2015 Course Rating Volunteer of the Year

The 2015 Course Rating Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Tom Tarrance! Tom’s involvement with FSGA Course Rating began in 2004 and due to his commitment to volunteering, leadership, and highly proficient course ratings, Tom advanced to Course Rating Captain. As captain, he has demonstrated exceptional organization, attention to detail, and skilled knowledge. In 2015, Tom and his team worked diligently to complete twelve course ratings.

Tom began to enjoy golf in the 1970’s when he played in his company’s golf league on Saturday mornings. In 2002, after Tom retired from a career as an aerospace defense contractor at Honeywell, he became an avid golfer playing up to four days a week. Along with his passion for golf, Tom enjoys boating, fishing and road trips to visit different places with his wife, Elaine. Tom has lived in the Trinity, Florida area for 46 years, close to his three sons and four grandchildren. He thoroughly cherishes the memories, laughs, and friendships he has created through golf and course ratings.
