Richard Young - Tournament

Richard (Dick) Young, of Cape Coral, was awarded the Tournament Volunteer of the Year in 2010. Dick started volunteering with the FSGA in 2004 and officiated at over 100 events ranging from the Florida Junior Tour, Winter Series, USGA and FSGA qualifiers, FSGA Championships, and the FHSAA High School State Championships.

Prior to retiring to Southwest Florida, Dick worked with the NCR Corporation for 32 years and refereed high school and Division III lacrosse for 20 years.

Serving as a Tournament Chairman in the Naples area and a FSGA Board member, Dick made a lasting impact on the FSGA. Dick enjoyed meeting the players, was passionate about the game of golf, and shared his dedication with the FSGA. Dick Young left a legacy behind when he passed in 2022.
