Random Draw Field Determination - Stay & Play Events
Random Draw - After the close of entries a random draw will be conducted to determine which players are accepted into the field and the order of the alternates list.
The amount of single occupancy and double occupancy players in the field will be determined proportionally by how many entries are submitted. Example (300 total entries) 200 are double occupancy, 100 are single occupancy. 2/3 of the field would be comprised of double occupancy entries and 1/3 of the field will be single occupancy. Accordingly, everyone has the same chance of gaining entry regardless of occupancy choice.
Draw Results - The random draw is computer generated. The results for the random draw will list all entries received and will be displayed on the tournament page after the random draw is calculated. (Generally 5-7 days after the close of entries)
Double Occupancy - Two players playing in the event and rooming together. Both entries MUST be submitted by the close of entries to be considered for the draw. The FSGA does not pair up players for double occupancy.
Single Occupancy - A single player playing in the event and not rooming with another competitor. (May bring a non playing guest to stay in room)
Credit Card Charges - Players will only be charged once they are accepted through the random draw.
Alternates
If you do not gain entry through the random draw, your name will be listed on the draw schedule with a number indicating your position on the alternates' list. There will be separate lists for single and double occupancy entries. If a player withdraws creating a vacancy, alternates from the respective occupancy list will be called in order. Alternates' credit cards will NOT be charged until they are contacted and agree to play.
Entry Procedures
All entries must be submitted through the website and received by the FSGA within the entry window. Telephone and fax entries will not be accepted.
Late Entries and Fees
Once the entry deadline has passed, players may be permitted to submit late entries and be added to the alternates list to fill spots should they become available. Late entrants will be contacted by the FSGA Tournament Department if and when they are accepted into the tournament field. Any late entrant that gains acceptance into the field will be subject to a $10 late entry fee.
Late entrants will be added to the bottom of the alternates list on a first-come, first-served basis.
