David Jungk became involved with the FSGA in 2010 and by 2012 he was awarded the Tournament Volunteer of the Year. Dave had a strong interest in the Rules of Golf and became a certified Senior Rules Official. Not only did Dave officiate over 100 FSGA events, he served as a Tournament Chairman for the Ocala area conducting FSGA and USGA qualifiers.
Prior to retiring to Florida in 2009, David worked 38 years with the Prudential Insurance Company as an Actuary. He also played competitive amateur golf for over 30 years, and carried a 2 handicap for a number of years. David enjoyed playing golf as a member at Candler Hills Golf Club and Black Diamond Ranch.
The FSGA lost a friend, hard working and passionate volunteer when Dave passed in 2020. Dave greatly impacted the game of golf with his dedication to tournament golf, the Rules, and the players.
