Stephen Anderson, 40, of Hobe Sound, earned Player-of-the-Year honors with 1240 overall points. Anderson’s fantastic year was capped off by winning the Mid-Amateur Championship. Anderson also won the Mid-Senior-Four Ball South Championship, finished tied for 12th at the Amateur Championship, finished in second place at the Four-Ball Championship, and advanced to the round of 32 at the Amateur Match Play Championship. Anderson was also selected to compete in the Southeastern Challenge Matches and was a key contributor to Team Florida’s victory. In addition to his great FSGA season, Anderson qualified for the United States Mid-Amateur Championship at the Atlantic Golf Club in Bridgehampton, New York, and advanced to the match play portion of the championship.
Rick Woulfe, 60, of Fort Lauderdale, is the 2010 Senior Player-of-the-Year recipient earning 695 overall points on the year. Woulfe had a solid year, finishing in fifth place at the Senior Amateur Championship at Southern Hills Plantation Golf Club, tied for second at the Mid-Amateur Four-Ball South Championship, second place at the Senior Four-Ball Championship and was a key contributor to Team Florida’s victory at the Southeastern Challenge Matches. Woulfe also qualified for the United States Senior Amateur Championship held at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando, and advanced to the match play portion of the championship.
Hank Lebioda, 16, from Winter Springs, is the 2010 Junior Player-of-the-Year earning 880 overall points on the year. Lebioda’s fantastic year was highlighted by winning the Boys Junior Championship at Grand Cypress Golf Club, where he fired a final round eight-under par 64 to come from behind and win the Championship. Lebioda also advanced to the finals of the Junior Match Play Championship and was a key member of the North Team victory, at the Junior Florida Cup. Lebioda also qualified for the United States Amateur Championship held at Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington.
