Doug Ritter and Tom Riley Claim Mid-Senior Four-Ball South

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Davie's Doug Ritter and Weston's Tom Riley teamed to easily win the Florida State Mid-Senior Four-Ball Championship at Bear Lakes Country Club Sunday. After a first-round 66, the two shot 68 on Sunday to win by 5 strokes.
After the first round, the duo led by three strokes over 4 teams. Their final-round 68 was the second-best total of the day. Miami Beach's Fr. Strafaci and Ft. Lauderdale's Larry Monteith closed with a 67 after their first-day 72.
Strafaci and Monteith finished tied for second at 139 along with Steven Sim of Ft. Lauderdale and Michael Sim of Boca Raton (69-70--139), and Naples' Mike Womble and Ron Cleland (69-70-- 139).
The Florida State Mid-Senior Four-Ball Championship is the thirteenth of 16 state championships conducted by the Florida State Golf Association, Another Florida State Mid-Senior Four-Ball Championship was held during the same time at LPGA International. Both sets of champions will be recognized as state champions.
