Ocala, Fla. – Today was moving day at the 70th Boys’ Junior Championship. Despite Club Adena continuing to pose challenges for the field, the players were able to successfully navigate the course's difficulties and post impressive scores.
What Happened?
Palmer Haynes, who matched the best round at Adena yesterday, continued his ascent up the leaderboard with a bogey-free round carding six birdies for a score of 66 (-6). He now stands at 10-under par after 36 holes, tied for first place with Jessy Huebner. Huebner, of Port Saint Lucie, eagled.jpg)
the 16th hole and birdied the 18th, positioning himself perfectly for tomorrow's final round.
In solo third place stands Sohan Patel, who fired a 67 (-5) to reach a total of 9-under par. The fourth position is shared by four players. Ryan Nicholson of Ponte Vedra had a standout performance, including an albatross on the 16th hole and four birdies. His impressive round epitomized 'moving day', climbing 50 spots on the leaderboard. Also tied for fourth are Clipper Salmon, Jaspreet Kondal, and Henry Robards. Salmon shot a 66 (-6), advancing 24 spots and putting himself in contention. Kondal started strongly with two early birdies and maintained his position throughout. Robards joined the fourth-place tie with six birdies and just one bogey, finishing his round with a birdie to build momentum heading into the final day.
Jessy Huebner currently leads in the (13-15) division at 10-under. Trailing closely behind is Sohan Patel at 9-under, and Jaspreet Kondal at 8-under.

The field has been cut to the low 70 overall players & ties. The final 18 holes will take place tomorrow, Monday, July 8th at Club Adena. The lowest score for 54 holes will be the Champion.
