Tournaments

Men's Championships

The FSGA conducts 42 State Championships for men and boys, seven of which require qualifying. Including the Amateur Championship, which is the oldest continuous sporting event in the state of Florida. FSGA Championships offers golfers a highly competitive environment staged at Florida's finest courses. Men also compete for the right to represent in biennial team competitions, The Florida Cup Matches (North Florida vs South Florida) & Southeastern Challenge Matches (vs Georgia & Alabama).

Women's Championships

The FSGA conducts 17 State Championships for women and girls, including the prestigious Women's Amateur Championship started in 1927 and Florida Women’s Open & Senior Open. Women golfers are eligible for all 200 One-Day events conducted annually throughout Florida and in 2018, select Women's Only One-Day Events have been added. Women also compete in several team competitions, including the and the Women's Florida Cup Matches.

USGA Qualifying

The FSGA conducts over 40 USGA qualifiers throughout the year, more than any other association or state in the country. Qualifiers are conducted for the US Open, US Women's Open, US Senior Open, US Women's Senior Open, US Amateur, US Women's Amateur, US Junior, US Girls' Junior, US Senior Amateur, US Women's Senior Amateur, US Four-Ball, US Women's Four-Ball, US Mid-Amateur, and US Women's Mid-Amateur. All entries must be submitted through the USGA website, www.usga.org.

One-Day Events

The FSGA conducts approximately 200 One-Day events throughout the state. Players are flighted by age and then play off their handicap. There is an optional Gross and Senior Gross division for Men, while Women compete for both Gross & Net Prizes. One-Days are open to men and women who have a GHIN handicap in Florida. Fun golf on great courses is the focus of the One-Days; the competition is secondary.

Juniors - FJT

The Florida Junior Tour (FJT) is the premier championship series in Florida for junior golfers. Conducted by the Florida State Golf Association, FJT events are professionally conducted on many of the state's finest venues. Boys and girls ages 9 to 18 years old are eligible to compete in one of four age divisions (9-10, 11-12, 13-15 & 16-18). Tournaments are ranked by the two main national ranking systems (Junior Golf Scoreboard and Golfweek) and winners earn exemptions into state championships and the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA). Additionally, summer months, the Boys' Junior Amateur, Girls' Junior Amateur, Futures Championship (9-10 & 11-12) and Junior Match Play Championships are conducted.

Winter Series

The Winter Series events are for golfers ages 25 and above and are held from November to April. These events are a great opportunity for those players who are not here in the summer to play in competitive tournaments at excellent venues. All tournaments are 36-holes and are held on Sunday-Monday or Monday-Tuesday.
