2004 JUNIOR TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

1. FORMAT: 36 holes of stroke play on the same course. Maximum of three players per team. Total of the low two scores per round of the three gross scores for each team will count.

2. CADDIES: All players must walk and caddies are not authorized.

3. AGE DIVISIONS: Boys Ages 16-18, Boys Ages 13-15, Girls Ages 16-18, and Girls Ages 13-15

4. COURSE LENGTH:  Two courses will be utilized:

ü      Boys (16-18) will play the Bobcat at approximately 6600 yards

ü      Girls (16-18) will play the Bobcat at approximately 6000 yards

ü      Boys (13-15) will play the Panther at approximately 6400 yards

ü      Girls (13-15) will play the Panther at approximately 5800 yards

5. ACCOMMODATIONS:  Arrangements have been made at the Best Western Ambassador Suites for $65.95 per night. Call (941) 480-9898 and identify yourself as a FSGA Junior Team competitor for reservations.  Reservations made after July 5^th will be provided on a space available basis.

Additional arrangements have been made the Holiday Inn for $55.00 per night. Reservations made after July 2^nd will be provided on a space available basis.  Call (941) 485-5411 and identify yourself as a FSGA Junior Team competitor for reservations. 

6. REGISTRATION:  There will be a registration table located outside the pro shop for all players and Coaches.

7.       SHOTGUN PRACTICE ROUND: A practice round will available at 1:30 PM on July 16^th, shotgun format, on both courses. Cost is $22 plus tax per player and all players MUST walk.  Starting hole assignments will be assigned by the FSGA. Shuttles will be available for the Panther Course.

Coaches and Assistant Coaches are permitted to play a practice round with their team. Cost is $22 plus tax per Coach or Assistant Coach.

8. SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:  Each team is authorized to have Coach or Assistant Coach during the competition.

A Coach or Assistant Coach will be able to rent a cart for $16 plus tax during the competition round.

Spectators MAY rent a cart for $16 plus tax each competition day and are not authorized to ride in a coach’s cart. These carts will be used to assist in evacuation of players if required. 

9. REMINDER – DRESS CODE: All players & Coaches must wear a collared shirt while on the golf course or in the clubhouse. Spectators are asked to dress appropriately. As a reminder, male contestants should not wear hats inside the clubhouse.
