FJT Rio Pinar Entrants:
Thank you for signing up to play in the Florida Junior Tour event at Rio Pinar Country Club on April 16-17. We received 153 entries and rather than having nearly 70 players on the alternates list, we contacted the club and asked if we could have the golf course all day Saturday and Sunday. The club agreed, so this will be the first time in FJT history that a tournament will have 144 players by using a "double wave."
Tee times will be posted to the FJT website on Monday, March 14th. Approximately 8 boys and 3 girls will be alternates.
Below is a summary of the schedule:
Saturday, April 16th
7:30 - 9:09 AM (72 players - all girls and some boys)
12:00 - 1:39 PM (72 players - all boys)
Sunday, April 17th
field is repaired by 1st round score
7:30 - 9:09 AM (72 players - all girls and highest scores of boys)
12:00 - 12:39 PM (72 players - lowest scores of boys)
Final group of boys expected to finish by 5:15 PM
Requesting a Tee Time
We understand some players may have made travel arrangements based on the
typical FJT starting times (late Saturday and early Sunday). If you have any
special circumstances that requires either an early or late tee time you must
email Darin at dgreen@fsga.org by
Monday, March 14th.
Please note that expanding the field to 144 players is very unusual. We were only able to accommodate the larger field because Rio Pinar was gracious enough to provide us the course for the weekend, and because each day has nearly 13 hours of daylight. Expanding the field does slightly increase the probability of inclement weather causing the tournament to be shortened to 18-holes, but we will deal with that when the time comes.
Thank you,
Florida Junior Tour
