Mission Inn Resort (16-18) - Message to Players

FJT Members,

A record number of entries have been received for the first several 16-18 age division tournaments this season. While this shows that the Tour is flourishing, many players are not getting accepted into tournaments they are hoping to play in. The FSGA understands this is frustrating to players and families and we are taking steps to ease this frustration.

New Tournament
Every effort is being made to add another tournament for the 16-18 age division to the first half of the FJT schedule. This new tournament will most likely be held in the Orlando area, and players that haven't been accepted into tournaments this season will have priority. Exempt players will still be allowed to enter; however, the maximum number of exempt players allowed might be restricted to accommodate more non-exempt players.

FJT - Mission Inn (16-18)
The entry deadline for the upcoming event at Mission Inn has passed, and over 160 players have submitted an entry. Regrettably, only 84 players will be accepted into the tournament and close to 80 players will be placed on the alternates list. Also, we reached the maximum number of exempt players allowed (see FJT Policies) well before the entry deadline, so players with exemptions will go through the random draw process and may not be accepted into the tournament. Efforts have been made to accommodate more players without compromising the integrity of the tournament and Tour; however, we were unable to secure tee times on the second course at Mission Inn.

The field, tee times, and alternates list for Mission Inn will be posted on Friday, October 8th.

We share in the disappointment of the players and families who have recently struggled to get accepted into FJT tournaments. Hopefully adding another tournament and giving priority to those who haven't been accepted into recent tournaments will improve some of these issues.
