Memorandum to Contestants
On behalf of the Florida State Golf Association, congratulations on qualifying for the 2010 Boys Junior Championship. We hope that you enjoy your experience in competing in a state championship and take many favorable memories from your time in Orlando.
Please carefully read through this packet of information. There are several important pieces of information, some of which require action by you, by a specific time (e.g. pre-registration, hotel reservation, practice rounds, etc.) If you have any questions please contact the FSGA Championship Department at 813-632-3742.
Please Note Pre-Registration Policy
By 3:30 PM, Monday, June 28th, each player must:
All qualifying players must remit to the FSGA office, $120 per player for advance payment of Championship fees. Championship fees include tee gifts, greens fees, lunches and range balls for all competitive rounds. Players may send a check to the FSGA office or pay by credit card online through the "My FSGA Account" section at www.fsga.org. Payment must be received by 3:30 PM, Monday, June 28th, or you will be withdrawn from the Championship. Exempt players are automatically pre-registered when they submitted their entry.
Failure to meet this deadline will result in withdrawal of your entry and an alternate will fill your spot.
Championship Format
Tee Times and Groupings
Tee times and pairings for rounds one and two will be arranged and posted on the FSGA website, www.fsga.org, on or before Wednesday, June 23rd.
Registration
A registration table will be set up for players to pick up their tee gifts, hole locations and other player information.
Registration times and locations:
Monday, July 5th (practice round) - 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM located in the hallway
of the Clubhouse.
Tuesday, July 6th - 6:30 AM to 9:15 AM located in the hallway of the Clubhouse.
Practice Rounds
Practice rounds are available one week prior to the Championship on a space available basis and after 12:00 PM on the weekend. Practice rounds are available after 12:00 PM on July 4th on either course. Players may begin calling to make a practice round tee time two weeks prior to the Championship. The Links Course will be closed leading up to the tournament, but opens on Saturday, July 4th.
The cost of a practice round is $30 which includes range balls and a cart. The cart is optional and players may walk if they prefer. Players without a valid driver's license may walk or have a parent drive the cart. Parents and spectators may ride for $25 plus tax. Additional carts may be rented for $25 plus tax.
Parents may play for a cost of $65 plus tax.
Starting times for your practice rounds are to be arranged by the calling the Golf Shop at 407-239-1909.
Practice Facilities
The practice facility is available to the players at no cost before, and after Championship rounds.
GPS and Range Finders
During competition rounds the use of electronic measuring devices is NOT ALLOWED. The penalty for a breach of this rule is disqualification.
Grand Cypress Golf Club
The Membership and Management of Grand Cypress Golf Club would like all of you to enjoy your experience during the 56th Boys Junior Championship.
All players and spectators must comply with the following club policies:
Food & Beverage
Personal coolers and outside product are NOT allowed on property.
During Practice Rounds:
Normal food and beverage available at the club. Cash and credit cards
accepted for payment.
During Championship:
Breakfast available for purchase beginning at 7:00 AM. Cash and credit cards
accepted for payment.
Lunch buffets on tournament days are available FREE TO ALL PLAYERS 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The cost of the buffet is $12 for parents and spectators inclusive per person. ONLY CASH IS ACCEPTED FOR THE LUNCH BUFFET FOR PARENTS.
Bottled water and fruit will be available on the starting tees for players during Championship rounds.
Spectator Carts
Spectators may rent a cart during Championship rounds for $25 plus tax per cart. Spectators must have a valid driver's license to drive a cart and they must abide by the Spectator Cart Policy that will be posted on each cart.

Accommodations
Accommodations have been made at the Grand Cypress Resort Villas.
Rooms and villas start at $109.00 per night, plus tax and resort fees. Call 407-239-4700 and identify yourself with the Florida State Golf Association.
Pace of Play
The two checkpoint pace of play system will be used at the Championship. Players will not receive warnings and it is the group's responsibility to play under the allotted time or finish each nine holes within 15 minutes of the group ahead. Players will receive the policy at registration and the maximum completion time will be included on the Notice to Players and each player's scorecard.
