2002 JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
LPGA INTERNATIONAL
IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT
INFORMATION
FORMAT: 36 holes Stroke Play. The field has been divided in
two age divisions. The junior division is ages 12-14, and the regular division
is ages 15-17. A Champion for each division will be determined.
COURSES: The Champions and Legends courses will be the
tournament courses. All players will play both courses. The Junior
division will be set up at approximately 6100 yards and the Regular division
will be set up at approximately 6800 yards.
PAIRINGS: The field will be re-paired according to scores
following the first round. Round two starting times will be posted in the golf
shop and at the scoreboard within 2 hours after the last group completes play.
Also, the starting times will be available at the Hampton Inn, Sleep Inn and
the Jameson Inn.
PRACTICE: Practice rounds are
available between June 10-16. You may reserve a
practice round tee time, 2 days in advance of the
date you desire, by calling (904) 274-5742. The fee is $18 including tax.
This fee includes your cart. All players must use a cart during the practice
round. You must identify yourself as a
Junior Competitor when reserving your tee time. No walking during practice rounds. Players under 16, must have a parent or guardian available to drive
the cart. Adults are welcome to
play during the practice round at $25. Non playing adults operating a cart may do so at no charge.
NOTE: No
practice will be allowed on either course after June 17th. The
prohibition of practice on a competition course remaining to be played (Rule
7-1b) is in effect. The penalty for breach of this rule is disqualification.
SPECTATOR CARTS: Spectators will be
authorized to rent carts during the competition rounds, (only 3 carts per group).
Fee will be $18 plus tax. All spectators
must sign an agreement form, which will specify the exact procedures for
spectator cart usage, prior to renting the cart. Carts will be used for
evacuation, NOT transportation of
players between greens and tees.
GOLF CARTS: All players must walk and carry their own clubs.
The use of a pull cart or caddie is prohibited.
DIRECTIONS: From I-95 take exit 87C. Travel west on
ACCOMODATION: Arrangements have been made at the Hampton Inn, $60
plus tax per night, you may call (904) 677-9999 for
reservations. The Sleep Inn, $55 plus tax per night, you may call (904) 673-6030
as soon as possible to make your reservations. Remember to identify yourself as
a FSGA Junior participant when making the reservation.
DRESS CODE: Appropriate golf attire is required at all times while at
