qualifying for the 2003 Florida State Amateur Championship. We hope that you enjoy your experience in
competing at a state championship and take many favorable memories from
your time at The Bay Hill Club and Metrowest Country Club. Please
take time to carefully read through this packet of information. There are several important pieces of
information contained here, some of which require action by you, by a
certain time (e.g. pre-registration, hotel reservations, practice rounds,
etc.). If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the FSGA
Championship Department at (813) 632-3742. Please Note Pre-Registration Policy Registration Deadline By Failure to meet this
deadline will constitute a withdrawal. A place will then be offered to an
alternate.

Bay Hill Club and Metrowest Country Club Page 2 Accommodations Arrangements have been
made on a space available basis at The Bay Hill Club and Lodge for the Bed
and Breakfast rate of $109 plus tax double occupancy and $96 plus tax for
single occupancy per night (includes breakfast buffet). Competitors can

(407) 876-2429 and must identify themselves as Florida State Golf
Association players. Additional arrangements have been made at the Radisson Hotel Orlando
for $99 plus tax per night. Competitors can call (800) 327-2110 and
must identify themselves as Florida State Golf Association players. Map & Directions Written directions and
a map showing the location of the The Bay Hill Club and Metrowest Country
Club are included with this memorandum. Practice The Bay Hill Club Players may play a
maximum of two practice rounds up to 7 days in advance of the Championship
except Saturday AM at the rate of $25 which includes cart, practice balls
and a service fee on a space available basis. Additional practice rounds
are available at a rate of $118.72 inclusive. Players may call (407)
876-8030 up to one week in advance. Unlimited daily practice balls at a
rate of $5. Metrowest Country Club Players may play a
maximum of two practice rounds up to 14 days in advance of the
Championship; anytime on weekdays and after Carts All players must ride
in the Championship rounds. Carts
are included in the Championship fee for all competitive rounds. NOTE:
NO ONE OTHER THAN THE PLAYERS MAY RIDE IN A CART. THIS
INCLUDES CADDIES AND SPECTATORS.

golf shop will accept cash and major credit cards for payment. The grill
room will accept major credit cards or hotel charge (guests staying at
the Lodge). The outside turn stand will accept cash only. Metrowest Country Club Metrowest
Country Club will accept cash and major credit cards for method of payment. One-Ball Rule The one-ball rule is
in effect during the 72 holes of the Championship rounds. Spike Policy It is a condition of
the Florida State Golf Association that shoes with traditionally-designed
spikes (regardless of composition, i.e. ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes,
regardless of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (when
such metal comes in contact with the surface of the putting green) are
prohibited. Penalty for breach of
this condition: Disqualification. Pace of Play In order to accommodate
168 players, it is essential that the game be played at a brisk pace which
may be defined as a few minutes more than four hours in groups of three
during the Championship rounds. The
pace of play will be monitored. If
and when it should become necessary to speak to individual players about
slow play, we hope they will react with the understanding that we do it in
the best interest of the Championship and the other players. The pace of play for
the stroke play rounds will be posted on the Notice to Competitors. Thank you and good
