102nd Amateur Championship

Player Information Sheet

Congratulations on earning your way into the 102nd Florida Amateur Championship! The Loxahatchee Club and Jonathan's Landing Golf Club are excited to host this prestigious championship. Both courses are in phenomenal condition and will provide a great test of golf for the best amateurs in Florida. Please carefully read the information below and we look forward to seeing you at the Championship. Best of luck!

Entrance and Parking

Players and guests must enter each club through security gates and provide identification (valid Driver's License). Please allow additional time for gate access, especially on Thursday and Friday mornings.

Player Lunches

*New for 2019* Complimentary player lunches are available at each course on tournament days 12:00 - 3:00 PM. Players are encourage to have lunch with the players in your group or friends in the field after their round. Spectators and guests may purchase the lunch.

Practice Rounds

Practice round tee times must be reserved in advance by calling each club. Practice round tee times are available on a space available basis, and after 11:00 AM on the weekend, beginning on Thursday, June 13th - Wednesday, June 19th (Loxahatchee is closed on Monday, June 17th). Practice rounds are only available to players in the field; alternates and guests are not allowed to play.

Players are offered practice round at each club for $35 plus tax which includes a cart and access to the practice facilities. Carts must be in by 6:30 PM each evening. Host clubs reserve the right to pair players up into one cart to conserve carts and limit traffic.

The last practice round tee time on Wednesday is 3:00 PM to allow the agronomy teams to work on the courses.

Practice Facilities

Practice facilities at both clubs are available to all players in the field beginning on Tuesday, June 18th. Facilities open each morning at 6:45 AM and close at 6:00 PM. Prior to Tuesday, June 19th the practice facilities are only open to players playing a practice round. On tournament days the practice facilities close at 5:00 PM and all players must be off property by 5:30 PM, weather permitting.

Alternates and guests do not have privileges to the practice facilities, except alternates may warm-up on Thursday morning before the first round until the last group has teed off.

For the 102nd Amateur Championship, the Committee has adopted Model Local Rule I-1, prohibiting practice on the competition course before and between rounds. A player must not practise on the competition course before or between rounds.

Penalty for first breach: General Penalty (2 strokes)
Penalty for second breach: Disqualification

Player Registration

Player registration will be at the Loxahatchee Club only. Registration will be located outside the Golf Shop.

Registration will be open:

Wednesday 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Thursday 6:45 AM - 9:45 AM
Friday 6:45 AM - 9:45 AM

Caddies and Guests

Caddies are allowed in FSGA events; however, the caddie must not be a parent or guardian of the player. Additionally, players must ride, their bag must be on the cart, and caddies must walk. Caddies are expected to be neat in appearance and wear proper golf attire. Jeans, t-shirts, collarless shirts, and flip-flops are not allowed and shirts must be tucked in.

Loxahatchee has a several skilled caddies available for hire ($120 per day). Please contact Scott Lubin if you are interested - 561-379-3055.

Guests are allowed to spectate during the Championship and the dress code applies to everyone on the grounds. Players are responsible for informing their guests of these policies.

Club Policies

We are guests at these fine clubs and we must adhere to their policies. Players, caddies, parents, and guests must follow the club's policies:

Hats off inside clubhouses for men
Audible cell phone use is only allowed in the locker rooms and parking lots
Cell phone usage (web browsing, text, etc.) should be kept to a minimum inside clubhouses

Lockers

Lockers are available at both clubs. Open lockers at Loxahatchee will have a "Guest Locker" sign (first-come, first-served). If you would like a locker at Jonathan's Landing please see a member of their professional staff.

Method of Payment

Both clubs accept cash and credit cards for all purchases.

Food and Beverage

Loxahatchee - The Turtle Cafe located behind the 10th tee near the waterfall opens at 8:00 AM and has drinks, snacks and lunch items available for purchase. Breakfast is NOT available.

Jonathan's Landing - The bar upstairs opens at 8:00 AM and has drinks, snacks and lunch items available for purchase. Breakfast is NOT available.

Spectator Carts

Spectator carts are NOT available at either club

Personal Appearance - Players & Spectators

Remember that you are a guest at both host clubs and gentlemanly behavior and proper dress is expected at all times by the players and their guests. All shirts must be tucked in at all times. No jeans, cargo shorts, flip-flops, or other non-golf attire.
