Memorandum To Contestants

On behalf of the FSGA, congratulations on qualifying for the 2007 Boys’ Junior Championship.  We hope that you enjoy your experience in competing at a state championship and take many favorable memories from your time in Ocala.

Please take time to carefully read through this packet of information.  There are several important pieces of information contained here, some of which require action by you, by a certain time (e.g. pre-registration, hotel reservations, practice rounds, etc.). Please Note Pre-Registration Policy

Registration Deadline

By 3:30 PM., Monday, July 2nd, all eligible exempt and qualifying players must pre-register and remit $120 either online at the FSGA website at www.fsga.org or by check to the FSGA office for advance payment of Championship fees. Championship fees include cart fees and range balls for all competitive rounds.

Failure to meet this deadline will constitute a withdrawal. A place will then be offered to an alternate. 

Format

- 54-holes of stroke play with two age divisions (16-18 & 13-15).

- 126 players in the 16-18 division and 42 players in the 13-15 division.

- Cut after 36 holes. All players will play 18-holes on each course before the cut (weather permitting).

- Cut to the low 54 scores and ties in the 16-18 division. Cut to the low 18 scores and ties in the 13-15 division.

- Final round to be played at Country Club of Ocala.

Practice Rounds

Practice rounds will be available one week prior to the Championship. You may call two weeks prior to the Championship to schedule a tee time. Please keep up the pace of play; multiple shots are not permitted at any time.

Country Club of Ocala
Cost:  $20 if renting a cart, free if walking. Parents may play for a green fee. Players' must have a valid driver's license to rent a cart for their practice round.

Carts/Caddies/Spectators

All players must walk and carry/pull their clubs. Use of a caddie is not authorized. Spectators will be authorized to rent carts at $20 per cart, but must follow the published policy (available on site).
