On behalf of the Florida State Golf Association (FSGA), the PGA Sections operating in Florida, and Timuquana Country Club congratulations on qualifying for the 69th Florida Open Championship. We hope that you enjoy your experience competing in one of Florida's oldest Championships and take many favorable memories from your time in Jacksonville.
Please carefully read the following information in addition to the informaiton on the the tournament homepage and the policies on the FSGA website.
Those that advanced to the championship through a local qualifier must pre-register and remit the appropriate championship fee through the My Account section located in the top right of this website. Payment must be received by 3:30 PM on Friday, July 10th or the player will be withdrawn and replaced with an alternate. The championship fee includes competitive rounds, cart fees, range access, player badge, tee gift, and lunch during the championship.
Exempt players do not need to pre-register through the website.
Tee times and pairings for rounds one and two will be posted on or before, Monday, July 13th. Players in the morning wave on Friday will be in the afternoon wave on Saturday and vice versa.
The championship format consists of 144 players of individual stroke play over 54 holes. A cut to the low 60 and ties will be implemented after 36 holes. If necessary, there will be a hole-by-hole "sudden death" playoff to determine the champion.
The FSGA has the authority to shorten the championship to 36-holes if needed due to weather suspensions.
Practice round tee times may be booked by calling the club no earlier than Thursday, July 8th at 904-389-0477. Practice rounds are available to players in the championship field only and are available the week prior to the championship and after 12:00 on the weekend prior, on a space available basis. Players are permitted two practice rounds at $25 plus tax; additional practice rounds are at $90. Credit cards are accepted for payment in the Golf Shop only (cash is needed for all F&B purchases)
The course is closed on Monday, July 13th. The 1st tee will close at 4:00 PM on practice round days.
The practice range will close each evening at 6:30 PM.
Players must ride during championship rounds and their golf bag must be on the golf cart. Caddies are permitted; however, they must walk at all times.
Spectators are welcome to attend; however, due to limited carts, spectators may not rent a cart.
During a weather evacuation, anyone may ride on a cart while seeking shelter.
The membership and staff at Timuquana Country Club congratulate you on advancing the Florida Open. The club is one of the oldest clubs in Florida and has a storied past. Players & Spectators: Please remember that we are guests at Timuquana Country Club and must be respectful to their members and staff. You are encouraged to utilize the clubhouse and locker rooms, but please remember the following policies:
A complimentary lunch buffet will be available each competitive day inside the Ballroom (Friday-Sunday). The buffet will open by 11:00 AM and close at 3:00 PM. Guests are welcome to purchase the lunch buffet for $15 (cash only!).
Cash is the only acceptable form of payment at Timuquana for food & beverage. Please come prepared.
Breakfast - Breakfast sandwiches are available in the Turn Stand beginning at 7:00 AM each morning.
Thursday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM inside the Clubhouse. Please check-in to receive your tee gifts and player information. Registration will also be open prior to the first round tee times for those that did not check in on Thursday.
The purse and payout will be announced at the club on Thursday. A payout list will be posted at the club and emailed to the players. All professionals that make the cut will receive a check. The top amateurs that make the cut will receive a gift certificate to the Golf Shop.
