Spike Policy
It is a condition of the
Florida State Golf Association that shoes with traditionally-designed spikes
(regardless of composition, i.e. ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, regardless
of design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (when such metal
comes in contact with the surface of the putting green) are prohibited. Penalty for breach of this condition: Disqualification.
Pace of Play
The
pace of play policy is available at: http://www.floridajuniortour.org/tournaments/paceofplay.asp
Pairings Party
After
round two (approximately 5 PM) the Florida State Golf Association will host a
pairing party for players and parents. Final round pairings will be distributed
at that time. We are excited to have Mac Thayer (Junior Golf Scoreboard) and
John Brooks (Former Head Golf Coach at North Florida and current advisor to the
AJGA) as guest speakers who will present an updated briefing, 50 minutes, on
navigating junior golf and the recruitment process. Following this presentation
will be a discussion period (30 minutes) conducted by a panel of three college
coaches who will answer all questions you may have. This is not a mandatory
function but is strongly recommended.
This
is a unique opportunity that should not be missed.
Thank you and good luck!
