The first round leader, Randy Elliott of Winter Park, shot a 74 today at the Mid-Senior Championship hosted by the PGA Golf Club. He keeps his lead with a total score of 139.
Today’s low score was 71 by Vero Beach’s Matt Avril, as well as Maitland’s David Sutton - both are in second place with a 142 total. Avril and Sutton are the only two players to have two sub-par rounds.
Paul Terrence, Tampa, made a hole-in-one off tee #17 on the South Course. Terrence used his 4-iron to drive the ball 191 yards and right into the cup.
Sunday’s final round will be played by the 74 players cut today with scores of 159 and below.
