Mou Continues to Lead Public Links

Tommy Mou continues to lead in the Florida State Public Links Championship after shooting a second round 68 at Grande Pines Golf Club in Orlando.

Tommy Mou, of Bradenton, posted a two-round total 134 to take a five stroke lead with one round remaining. After firing a course record 6-under par 66 in the first round, Mou posted a 68 in the second round. Most recently, Mou played in the sectional qualifier for the U.S. Open at Lake Nona. Thomas Murray, of Orange Park, sits five back from Mou recording a 139 for 36 holes. Murray shot a 70-69 for the first two rounds. Joseph Byun, from Sanford, fired a 69, to jump into third place. The 2006 Public Links Champion Jon Veneziano, of Mount Dora is in fourth place posting a two round total of 143.

The Public Links Championship is open to bona fide public course players who are not members of a private club and also do not have a handicap index any higher than 6.4. Competitors play 18 holes of stroke play on each of the three days.
