Boone & Balaskiewicz Make History at Stone Creek

Ocala, Fla.  – Ana Boone & Luke Balaskiewicz secure their first FJT victories of 2025. They made history tying multiple FJT scoring records.

Boys (16-18)

A picture perfect Saturday led to an exciting first round. The first round saw beautiful weather as well as some impressive golf. First round leader Luke Balaskiewicz fired an impressive score of five-under par 67. Balaskiewicz posted five birdies as well as an eagle. Sitting in second is Eddie Gu, Nicholas Pisarski, and Anthony Monteleone who all posted rounds of four-under par 68. Gu had six birdies en route to his 68. Pisarski also had an impressive round that included five birdies. Monteleone put up five birdies as well as an eagle to cap off his exciting round. Cameron Baez sits two-back of leader Luke Balaskiewicz. Baez fired a three-under par 69 that included a round high seven birdies across all divisions. The leaderboard is loaded with under-par rounds following Saturday’s round. Sunday’s round should have an exciting finish.

With beautiful weather continuing Sunday, conditions remained idea for our final round. Luke Balaskiewicz was the victor as he maintained his first round lead. Balaskiewicz finished at eleven-under par with scores of 67-66—133. Balaskiewicz’s 36-hole score of 133 is tied for the third lowest 36-hole score in FJT history for the Boys (16-18) division. Cameron Baez came roaring back to finish in solo second. Baez recorded rounds of 69-66—135. He finished with thirteen birdies across the two rounds. Finishing six back in third place was Jeremy Hsu, Chase Bauer, Anthony Monteleone, Eddie Gu, and Nicholas Pisarski.

 

Girls (16-18)

After the first round, Ana Boone sits atop the leaderboard. Boone made history on Saturday after firing a tournament low seven-under par across all divisions. Boone’s seven-under par 65 puts her in the FSGA record books tying the third lowest round in FJT history for the Girls (16-18) division, as well as tying the FJT Stone Creek Open record. Boone posted six birdies and an eagle in the first round. Man Yang and Lauryn Finley sit three-back of Boone after great rounds of four-under par 68. Yang had five birdies while Finley had three birdies and an eagle. Five-back in fourth place is Nicole Sardinha.  Sardinha tied Boone with six birdies to secure the round high in the Girls (16-18) division.

Ana Boone continued her outstanding play in the second round. Boone posted a 69 in the second round to give her scores of 65-69­—134, Boone finished ten-under par.  Boone’s 36-hole score of 134 ties the second lowest 36-hole score in FJT history for the Girls (16-18) division. Nicole Sardinha claimed solo second as she finished with five birdies in her final round. Sardinha finished with scores of 70-68—138 to sit four-back at six-under. Man Yang finished in third place with scores of 68-74—142
