10 Teams Headed to Interclub Championship

Host of the 2021 Interclub Championship

TAMPA, Fla. – Ten teams have punched their ticket to the FSGA Interclub Championship. The ten Regional champions will head to Streamsong Resort on April 6-7 to compete for 2021 Interclub title.

The Interclub Team Matches are a state-wide competition between clubs. The 2021 Interclub season began in January with over 100 clubs competing in a six-week regular season. Thirty-four teams battled it out in the Regional playoffs in March, with 10 Regional champions being crowned.

The Black Course at Streamsong will host sixth FSGA championship and will play host
to the Interclub Championship for the first time.

Central Region

Sun 'N Lake Golf Club took down Orange Tree Golf Club in the Central Regional. Sun ‘N Lake defeated Orange Tree 32-16, after winning 20-4 in the first match and finishing the second march in a 12-12 tie.

Naples Region

Quail Creek Country Club captured the Regional title in Naples, defeating Forest Glen Golf & Country Clun in the Finals, 32-26. Quail Creek, who defeated Quail West Golf & Country Club in the Semifinals, will look to take home the Interclub win after finishing tied for second in 2019.

Naples (Fort Myers) Region

LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort advanced to the championship after a commanding win against Cypress Lake Golf Club in the Naples (Fort Myers) Finals, 40-18. LaPlaya advanced to Finals after taking down Fiddlestick Country Club, 29-19, in the Semifinals.

Northeast 1 Region

After earning the wildcard spot in the Northeast 1 Regional, Jacksonville Golf & Country Club was the teams left standing, after overcoming the Golf Club at North Hampton, 32-16, in the Finals. Jacksonville G & CC defeated Plantation Bay Country Club in the Semifinals, 39-29.

Northeast 2 Region

Julington Creek Golf Club took down The Palencia Club, 26-22 in the Northeast 2 Region Finals.

Suncoast Region

Heron Creek Golf came out on top in the Suncoast Regional, defeating Esplanade Golf & Country Club, 30-28, in the Finals. After a 17-17 tie in the first Finals match, Heron Creek edged out Esplanade by just two points in the second match.

Panhandle Region

Regatta Bay Golf and Country Club used a 31-17 win against Tiger Point Golf and Country Club to secure their spot in the Interclub Championship.

Tampa Region

Cypress Run Golf Club, the wildcard of the Tampa Region, defeated Westchase Golf Club 13-11 in the Tampa Finals. Cypress Run advanced to the Finals after taking down Innisbrook Resort, 33-25.

Treasure Coast Region

The Fox Club used a dominating 36-12 win against Timacuan Golf & Country Club to capture the Treasure Coast Region. The Fox Club advanced to the Finals after defeating Heathrow Country Club, 27-21.

West Region

Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club, the 2014 Interclub champions, advanced to the championship, defeating The Club at Cheval, 36-12 in the West Region Finals.
