What Happened
Mi Li and Youyang Li took the 36-hole lead after the second round of the 63rd Girls' Junior Amateur Championship at The Coutry Club of Winter Haven and The Club at Eaglebrooke. Mi Li took a two-shot lead over the field with an even-par 72 in the second round, while Youyang Li ended the day with a second-round 72 to move to the top.
Mi Li got the second round started with a 1-under front side, birdieing two of her last three holes. She kept it rolling on the back side, adding a birdie on the 10th. The Orlando native ran some trouble at the end of the day, finishing bogey-bogey, but held on to take the 36-hole lead at 1-under 143.
Hope Hall, Alana Kutt and Brianna Castaldi sit in a tie for second in the Girls (16-18) division at 1-over 145.
Youyang Li started the day with a 1-under front side with three birdies. The Winter Gardens native birdied the final hole of the day to take a one-shot lead over the field at 1-under 143.
Yaxuan Zheng fired a 3-under 69 to move nine spots up the Girls (13-15) leaderboard and into a tie for second with Ariana Silva, Siuue Wu and Miranda Lu at even-par 144. Zheng began the day with an even-par front side. She carded a bogey-free back side with three birdies to post the low round of the tournament.

The final round of the Girls’ Junior Championship will begin Friday at The Country Club of Winter Haven with the 63rd Girls’ Junior champions being crowned.
